Login information can be re-sent to users from the vBulletin control panel.

Running a vBulletin website requires lots of user management -- from banning spam accounts to editing legitimate ones. Although passwords and login information are sent to a user's email address after initial registration at the website, users often need their login name or password updated. vBulletin login information can only be edited by administrators of the forum's website. When usernames are updated, the updates are reflected on all posts made by that user.

Instructions

    • 1

Log on to your vBulletin website as the administrator. The Administrator Control Panel will display.

    • 2

Click the "User" link in the left pane. A submenu will appear below the link.

    • 3

Click the "Search for Users" link in the submenu. The "Search for Users" page will appear in the main pane.

    • 4

Type the user's name in the "User Name" field and click the "Exact Match" button. The user's account information will display on the next screen.

    • 5

Type the updated information in the "User Name" and/or "Password" fields. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the "Save" button to save the changes.
