How to Make a Facebook Feed

Facebook gives you the appropriate RSS feed links for notifications and status updates, which means you don't have to go to the trouble of making your own Facebook feeds. The hard work is already taken care of. All you have to do is copy the link and paste it where you want it. For example, with a Facebook feed you can follow your friends' activities and comments from your favorite RSS reader.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign into your account at facebook.com.

    • 2

Click the "Globe" icon on the top navigation bar. Select "See All Notifications" from the drop-down menu.

    • 3

Right-click the "Via RSS" link and select "Copy link location." The RSS notifications URL is automatically copied into the computer's memory buffer.

    • 4

Paste the link wherever you need it. Press "Ctrl-V" to paste it into a RSS feed reader subscription form, HTML editor or new browser window.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you would like to see your status updates rather than notifications about your friends' online activities, then replace the word "notifications" in the RSS link with the word "status."
