How to Install FSX
"Microsoft Flight Simulator X" was released for the PC in 2006. As with all PC games, you must install "Flight Simulator X," or "FSX" for short, before you can play it. To install "Flight Simulator X" properly, you must have both discs in addition to the product key. "Flight Simulator X" requires 14GB of empty space on your computer's hard drive, and it takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes to install. The process of installing the game is the same regardless of your version of Windows.

Insert the first "Flight Simulator X" disc into your computer's disc drive. The installation window automatically appears after you insert the first disc.

Click "Install" to begin the installation.

Insert the second "Flight Simulator X" disc when prompted. This will happen when the installation is 50 percent complete.

Click "Accept" on the "End User License Agreement" window after installation has completed.

Click "Activate Now," followed by "Next." You must activate your copy of "Flight Simulator X" with your product key to obtain all the features of the game.

Enter your 25-digit product key in the fields provided. This product key is inside the "Flight Simulator X" DVD case on a yellow sticker. Click "Next" when finished.

Click "Finish" to complete installation.

Double-click the "Flight Simulator X" icon on your desktop to begin playing the game.

Tips & Warnings
To change any features about the installation, such as where the files are installed on your hard drive, click "More Options" from the installation window, prior to installing the game.
Your must have a DVD drive to install "FSX," as the game is only available on the DVD format.
