How to Reject the Cookies From Yahoo! Mail
If you are uncomfortable with the idea that Yahoo! Mail leaves cookies on your computer, you are able to block the cookies from downloading using Internet Explorer. Yahoo! Mail uses cookies to keep you signed in not only in Mail, but other Yahoo! Internet properties such as Yahoo! Shopping. According to Yahoo!, the cookie automatically expires after eight hours. However, during that time your movements in Yahoo! websites are still tracked.

Launch Internet Explorer, and then click the "Tools" button.

Select "Internet Options" from the drop-down list, and then click the "Privacy" tab.

Click the "Sites" button, and then type the full web address of the Yahoo! Mail website into the "Address of Website" box.

Click the "Block" button. The Yahoo! Mail website address is automatically entered into the "Managed Websites" box. Clicking the "Block" button only blocks the Yahoo! Mail cookie, it does not prevent the site from opening in Internet Explorer.

Click "OK" to save the changes.

Tips & Warnings
If you block the Yahoo! Mail cookie, you will not be able to access your Yahoo! Mail account.
