How Can I Retrieve a Typed Email From Facebook?
Facebook lets users send private messages to other Facebook users, which are just like emails except the messages are not sent through an email provider. When someone has sent you a message on Facebook, a red rectangle with the number of messages in your inbox will appear on your homepage above the message icon. Sending a email through Facebook is an alternative to posting a public message on your friend's profile wall.

Log in to your Facebook account.

Click on the dark blue talk bubble located to the right of the "facebook" logo in the upper left corner of your homepage.

Click "See All Messages" at the bottom of the messages drop down menu. Select the message thread you want to read by clicking on the message's subject. A message thread contains the original email and all subsequent reply emails.
