How to Upload an AVI on Veoh
Veoh.com is a multimedia sharing website that promotes safe social networking through music, movies, TV shows and online games uploaded from users around the world. After registering a new account with Veoh.com you can upload your AVI movies (a popular Microsoft audio/video format) through the Web site. For AVIs larger than 1 GB, Veoh.com recommends the "Veoh Uploader Tool" that breaks larger files into smaller bits and allows you to run other tasks or programs while the uploader remains in the background. There is also less of a chance of interruption during the upload process. Note that as of June, 2011, the "Veoh Uploader Tool" is only available for PC users.

Uploading Through Veoh.com

Open your Web browser and visit Veoh.com. Sign into an existing account or create your account by visiting Veoh.com/register. Fill out the required information including username, email address and password. Click "Sign Up." Verify your email on the next screen and click the "Send" button. Open your email and click on the link provided by Veoh.com to activate your account.

Click the "Upload" or "Add a Video" button in the upper right corner of Veoh.com. Click the "Browse" button in the "Add a Video" screen to open a pop-up search window. Navigate to the AVI file on your computer and click "Open."

Enter all required information for your AVI, including its title, a description, tags, category and content rating (whether the video is appropriate for all ages).

Put check marks next to the "Privacy Settings" boxes to allow others to post comments or link to your video and click the "Add Video" button in the lower right corner of the screen to begin uploading. Upload time depends largely on your computer's processing speed and the size of your video.
Veoh Uploader Tool

Register a new account or sign in at Veoh.com and click the download link provided in your notification email to complete the activation process. Go to "Veoh.com/upload.html" and follow the on-screen prompts to download the Veoh Uploader Tool to your computer.

Open the Veoh Uploader Tool. Drag and drop your AVI movie from its current location into the uploader's main window or click the "Add Videos" button in the top left corner (you may add up to four videos at once).

Click Veoh's "Terms of Use" box so a check mark appears and press "Upload" to begin uploading the AVI from your computer. Track its progress by watching the Connection Speed (in Kb/sec), Time Remaining and Progress bar.

Click the "Information" button when the upload has finished to be re-directed to your "My Videos" page at Veoh.com. Enter additional information about your video, including tags, title, description and category to complete the upload process.

Tips & Warnings
Veoh.com states that a 10 MB file takes roughly three to six minutes to upload.
AVI files larger than 1 GB will take several hours to upload.
