How to Tame an Amani War Bear
The Amani War Bear is a unique ground Mount available in the online fantasy world of the World of Warcraft (WoW) game. It was re-introduced in Patch 4.1 of the game, bringing back a popular feature from earlier test versions of WoW that older players were able to tame. It is a ferocious-looking giant bear decorated with tusks, tribal arms and tattoos. This Beast can be tamed in the Zul'Aman dungeon sequence after completing a timed run. As a mount, the War Bear is fairly slow and can only run slightly faster than humans. Its special abilities are Crunch Armour and Enrage. The War Bear is an attractive WoW graphic and is sought after as a status symbol due to its rarity.

3
Enter the Zul'Aman dungeon. You will then have to navigate through the dungeon, defeating various hostile mobs and four bosses to rescue a prisoner. At the start, you are only given 15 minutes to complete your run.
-
4
Head down the left staircase toward Akil'zon. Activate Akil'zon's gauntlet and drag groups together to fight them quicker. If you succeed in defeating Akil'zon, you will be given 5 additional minutes.
-
5
Get to Nalorakk by riding on the grassy hill between the two staircases. Defeating Nalorakk will again give you an additional 5 minutes. You will then have to kill Jan'Alai.
-
6
Head to Halazzi's alter. When you reach this boss, keep the Water Totem instead of attacking it so that your party can stand in the Refreshing Stream and heal while focusing on combating Halazzi. The Stream appears as green puddles.
-
7
Go inside Halazzi's room and free Kasha the prisoner. She will reward your party and drop an Amani War Bear. The War Bear will go to the player who wins on the roll. The instance can be repeated several times until you eventually end up with one.

Tips & Warnings
Kill patrols with low HP as quickly as possible before they summon extra mobs. Bears will also spawn if not killed fast enough.
Fight efficiently by engaging packs as soon as possible or avoiding them entirely. Partially stunning mounted packs will stop them from dismounting and speed up encounters. Try not to get too distracted with collecting loot in this sequence.
Having a Death Knight in your raid party will allow you to skip mobs on the way to Halazzi by using the Path of Frost skill to ride over the lake. A Shaman can also have everyone Waterwalk and run over the lake.
Keeping the Water Totem at Halazzi's Alter is a slightly risky strategy as it calls up the Spirit of the Lynx, but any damage it inflicts is offset by standing in the Refreshing Stream. However, the strongest member of your party should be on alert to drag Halazzi out of any Refreshing Stream puddles so it does not heal.
An enraged Amani War Bear can be removed by a Hunter's Tranquilizing Shot.
