How to See Skype Messages After They're Removed
When you are done chatting, you likely close the chat window and remove the messages. Unless you changed your message settings, Skype will automatically archive your chat conversations for you to reference at any time. Chat messages are written instant messages, not phone conversations. Skype makes it possible to instant message, voice and video chat to Skype users around the world.

Login to Skype.

Right-click on the contact whose chat messages you want to view, and then select "View Chat History." You will see all your saved chat history with that person.

Double-click on a contact like you would do if you want to start a chat conversation. Under "View Earlier Messages" select the time frame for messages you want to view, such as "1 Week," "1 Year" or "All." This step is applicable for the newest versions of Skype.
