A "Gravatar," short for "globally recognized avatar," is a thumbnail image and link representing yourself that shows when you post a story or comment to a compatible website. A Gravatar allows you to maintain one profile across all platforms. If you want to view someone else's full-sized Gravatar profile picture, you must go to their Gravatar profile page.
