How to Bite Someone on "Sims 2" as a Vampire

Vampires in "The Sims 2: Nightlife" follow the usual vampire stereotypes set forth in the media. Persistent exposure to sunlight can cause your vampire Sim to die, making it impossible for your character to leave during daylight hours. A specialized coffin bed can be purchased to prevent your Sim from getting disgruntled when sunlight streams in through the windows. Babies, toddlers and children cannot become vampires, although teenagers, young adults, adults and elders can join the ranks of the undead.

Instructions

    • 1

Improve your vampire's mood. Keep your Sim out of sunlight and confined in the darkness during the daylight hours. Provide entertainment to keep the "Fun" meter up, such as a television, game system or radio. Keep food, a bathroom, shower and bed available to promote a better mood. This will positively affect your Sim's relationships.

    • 2

Build a relationship with those you wish to infect. Start off with friendly interactions first, such as "Gossip," "Chat" or "Compliment." You can also invite your guest to participate in social activities, such as watching television or playing chess together.

    • 3

Use other relationship interactions as they appear. These may include "Friendly hug," "Admire," "Back rub," "Flirt," "Kiss," or "Brag." A plus sign will appear above the Sims' head if the interaction went well. Pay attention to these cues. While some Sims may enjoy hearing another Sim brag, others may find it detrimental to the relationship.

    • 4

Wait for your vampire Sim to bite the desired. A high relationship is required before this begins, but the process is automatic. Players can protect those they wish to keep as regular humans by keeping the vampire Sim occupied throughout the day.

Tips & Warnings

  • Vampires only appear in "The Sims 2" expansion pack, "Nightlife." The player must download "Nightlife" to be able to become a vampire.

  • Players can prevent biting from occurring. While the vampire Sim is selected, its queue of interactions appears in the form of icons at the top left of the screen. Hover the mouse over the icon to view the interaction desired. Click on the icon to cancel the interaction.

  • Players who want to become a vampire can stroll any of the community lots during the night. A male and a female vampire, dressed in capes, can sometimes be found roaming this area. Begin a conversation with the vampire and build up a relationship. When the relationship is built up enough, the vampire may bite your Sim.

  • You can cure your Sims of the vampire affliction. Speak to the Gypsy Matchmaker to purchase a potion that will return you to normal human status. Click on the phone and select "Services..." and then "Matchmaking Service" to invite her over. She also appears in community lots.
