Donated air miles help facilitate military visits that may not have been possible otherwise.

If you've been racking up miles in the air lately and have no plan in mind for them, consider donating them to the military. The Fisher House Hero Miles program, authorized by the Department of Defense, provides airline tickets to hospitalized service members and their family if they don't qualify for government funded airfare. Air miles from Delta airlines are called SkyMiles and Delta is one of the participating airlines in the Hero Miles program.
