How to Make a Sphere Collage

Create a sphere collage that represents who you are.

A collage is a work of art that is created using a combination of images, messages and other visual objects all pertaining to an overall theme. Unlike the fine arts of painting and sculpting, collages lend themselves to more casual display forms. In fact, you can create a sphere collage to hang in a room or give to someone as a gift. Without many supplies, you'll make a masterpiece collage of your own that suits your personal taste.

Instructions

    • 1

Pick a theme for the collage project. While the collage will be composed of several different images, it helps to have an overall theme that ties things together. You can pick a color or object that you like such as flowers, cars, weddings, babies or sports for your masterpiece.

Gather photos, old magazine clippings and old newspaper clippings, and keep them in a folder where they won't get ruined. This is something you should do over time in order to get enough to cover a Styrofoam sphere. After a week or two of gathering items, you should have enough. If necessary, you can complete the entire project in a single day, but you'll spend a significant amount of time looking for these things.

Use craft glue to stick your items onto one half of the Styrofoam sphere. For the purpose of making a collage, you need not glue them on in a neat, aligned manner. Instead, you can overlap items, turn them sideways or even upside down. Don't worry about others being confused since you've chosen and stuck to a theme that you like.

Let the first side dry for at least a day. You can then decorate the other side of the sphere to complete the collage.
