How To Troubleshoot an RCA TH103
Audiovox Corp.'s RCA brand has been making consumer electronics since 1929 when it purchased phonograph maker the Victor Talking Machine Co. Current music players produced by RCA are small, sleek devices with rewritable flash memory-based storage. The devices allow for recording, music playback and more. The TH103 includes a neck strap loop, earphone socket and internal microphone. Problems with the music player can include issues with sound and display.

1
Insert the supplied earphones into the player fully if there's no sound from the earphones. The earphone socket is on the left side if you're looking at the front of the device. It's at the top and is distinct from the USB socket, which is on the bottom under the USB socket cover. Increase the volume if there's still no sound. The volume controls are on the right side of the device.

Play any files that you're having problems with on your computer if you continue to have sound issues. The file may be corrupted on the TH103. You can isolate the problem this way.

Format the device if you continue to have issues. The files will be lost, so back them up first by connecting the device to a computer and allowing the device to mount. From Windows Explorer, drag and drop the files onto your computer's hard drive. Then open "Computer" and right click the drive letter for the music player. Choose "Format" and click "Start" or "OK." Choose "FAT" format if offered a choice.
