How to Congratulate an Employee
Show an employee just how much he means to the company by congratulating him on his success. The simple act of saying "congratulations" typically is sufficient; however, when you feel the need to truly show your appreciation or congratulate him in a bigger way, then think larger than simple words. Whether the employee is retiring, or he gained a new client, step outside the box and show him your admiration.

1
Announce her accomplishment to the other employees by gathering other workers and telling them what she has achieved. A public congratulations is always welcome. Let the other workers congratulate him, and this gives him a moment in the spotlight that he deserves.

2
Purchase a congratulatory card and have everyone in the office sign their names to it. Choose a simple card that says "From All of Us" so everyone in the office is included in the celebration. Take giving the card one step further and have everyone give a small amount of money toward a gift card for the employee.

Reward the employee by taking her to lunch at her favorite restaurant. Forget about the standard lunch hour and let her enjoy spending time chatting with you over a nice meal.

4
Hold a reception in his honor. Receptions are help for employees who are leaving the company for retirement or taking on a higher position outside of their normal coworkers. Gathering a group of people along with food and drinks is a great way to say congratulations.
