Some applications you purchase online come as an ISO image.

An ISO file is a digital image of a physical CD's or DVD's contents. MagicISO supports the editing and creation of ISO and UIF files and lets you create ISO images of physical disks you already own. The program can directly access your computer's DVD drive so that you can create ISO files from physical discs or create multiple copies of a CD or DVD. If your computer's optical drive supports DVD burning, you can use MagicISO's built-in burning software to burn an ISO file to a CD or DVD.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert a blank DVD into your DVD-burning drive; then launch MagicISO. Click the round CD icon on the program's toolbar that displays "Burn CD/DVD With ISO" when you hover your mouse over it. This launches the program's burning utility.

Click the "Destination CD/DVD-R/RW Writer" drop-down list if you need to change the default DVD burner.

    • 3

Click the folder button next to the "CD/DVD Image File" option; then locate your ISO, and click "Open."

    • 4

Click the "CD/DVD Writing Speed" drop-down list to select the fastest burning speed that both your burner and disc supports. By default, MagicISO displays the fastest supported speed as the default, but you can also select a slower speed if desired. Click "Mode 1" or "Mode 2/XA" under the "Format" section. Select "Mode 1" for ISO images containing non-multimedia data files or "Mode 2/XA" for ISO images containing audio, video or images.

Select the "Burn Proof" if you want to prevent burning errors in the event that the burning process gets interrupted. If you don't select this feature, MagicISO will not be able to restart recording the ISO to the DVD if an interruption occurs, and your DVD may become unusable. Click "Burn It!" MagicISO then burns the ISO to your DVD.
