How to Increase the Video Buffering Speed on a PC
If you have ever experienced a video you are watching on your PC that occasionally stops playing, it could be due to video buffering problems. Video buffering issues occur when the information being received by the Internet connection is quicker than the computer can download. If the frustration of pushing "Stop" and "Play" over and over again is getting on your nerves, there are several options you can perform to increase your video buffering speed on your PC.

1
Close other Internet browsers that you may have running. Since each browser requires a specific amount of computer RAM to operate, exiting any unused browsers can increase your Internet connection speed, which results in an increase to your video buffering speeds.
-
2
Pause any updates and downloads on your computer that may take up any available bandwidth on your Internet connection. The more bandwidth between your Internet connection and computer, the faster your videos will buffer. If you must download or perform automatic system updates, load the video and wait until the download is complete before continuing the video streaming.

Schedule another time to view the video when website traffic is less congested. Since too many people attempting to access a certain video or site can decrease your video buffering speed, wait until a later time to try and play the video again.

Upgrade your RAM in your computer. If your computer is outdated or it is necessary for you to run multiple programs at once, upgrading your RAM speed can increase your video buffering speed because there are more cells to process all the information by your computer's central processing unit (CPU). Therefore, you can download files, open multiple Web browsers and still have enough processing power to stream your video.
