A Super Video Graphics Array (SVGA) cable is designed to hook up your computer to a high definition screen or monitor. The enhanced picture that an SVGA connection produces increases the enjoyment of surfing the Internet as well as watching movies. 1
Locate the SVGA output on your computer and input on your monitor. The connections are the same size and shape as the plugs on the ends of the SVGA cable, and have two small screw holes on either side of the socket.
-
2
Plug one end of the SVGA cable into the monitor output on your computer. The plug has a 15-pin configuration inside of it that is larger at the top then on the bottom. Turn the plug to match the connection and push it into the output socket. Do not force the plug or you could damage the pins. Twist the two knobs on the back of the plug clockwise to extend the screws on the plug into the connection screw holes to secure the plug in place.
