How to Level Discipline for "Dragon Oath"

"Dragon Oath" is a massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) that lets players customize their character through classes, skills, levels and discipline. A discipline can have one of two effects on a character. It can permanently improve your character's stats all the time or it can be equipped to a character and taken off again. Equip disciplines have more restrictions than effect disciplines, such as the character's class. Leveling up your discipline is a simple process that takes more time to accomplish as your character advances.

Instructions

    • 1

Get your character to Level 30 through quests, challenges, and training. Do class quests, guild quests and team quests. Disciplines are not an option until you hit that level.

    • 2

Acquire a discipline book through challenges or through killing enemies, such as Black Tiger, Ghost Wolf Spider and Six-Eared Ape. There are five books total to acquire.

    • 3

Earn enough experience and gold to level up a book. The higher the level of the book, the more experience and gold it costs. When you upgrade a book's level, all of the skills of the book are improved. However, they also now cost more to upgrade those individual skills. But, some skills require the discipline book they're in to be a certain level to use the skills. For example, Fists of Goddess, a skill in discipline Book 1, requires the book to be Level 10 before the skill can be used.

Tips & Warnings

  • Choose carefully which books you level. When you level a book, you improve all the skills of the book; when you level a skill in the book, you level up that skill and all the other skills in the book become more expensive. This encourages specialization. Balance your leveling among all the various advancement methods in "Dragon Oath." You can spend money and experience not only on leveling up your discipline, but also leveling your character, certain skills in the discipline, your life skills, such as cooking or pyromancy, and your class skill, such as assassin. Focusing on just one may weaken your character.
