How to Find Facebook Widgets

Find amusing or useful Facebook widgets with the site's search tool.

Facebook widgets -- also known as applications -- provide many useful or entertaining features, from games and puzzles to surveys and online dating. If you want to load up your Facebook account with widgets, first search for them with Facebook's dedicated search tool. This lets you filter search results by type, making it much easier to find the widget or application that you want to add to your account.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser and log in to Facebook.

2. Click the "Search" box at the top of your Facebook homepage.

3. Type the relevant search terms for the widget you want to locate into the search box. If you know the name of the widget or application, type the widget's name as your search term. If you want to find a selection of widgets with a certain theme, type a relevant keyword. For example, type "dating" if you want the search to provide a list of dating applications and widgets.

4. Click the "Search" magnifying glass icon to the right of the search box to launch the search on a new page.

5. Click the "Apps" link in the left-hand navigation menu. This filters the search results so that only applications and widgets appear.

6. Read through the search results in the main pane. Click the app name or the "View App" button beside each result to open the widget's home page and find out more about the application.

Tips & Warnings

• You can install the widget or application by clicking the blue "Go to App" button from the widget's home page.
