How to Identify Fake Cobalt Blue Crocs
Crocs is a footwear company that originated in Boulder, Colorado, and the first pair of Crocs emerged simply as a shoe for water sports such as boating. The rubbery material that all Crocs consist of refers to a closed cell resin that is soft and odor- and water-resistant, as states the official Crocs company website. With the increased success and popularity of Crocs and their wide range of color, including cobalt blue, it's no wonder that imitators copy them so pervasively. If you have a pair of questionable cobalt blue Crocs, there are ways to determine if they're authentic.

1
Turn the shoe around and look for the Crocs logo, usually found on the heel strap. In the upper lefthand side of the Crocs logo are the letters "TM" which stands for "trademarked." Crocs are a trademarked brand, so fake versions of this shoe will not have this exact logo.
-
2
Check the logo carefully for misspellings. The logo is always spelled "Crocs" and not "Crocks" or "Krocks" or "Krocs" or "Kroks." A misspelled logo is a clear indication of a fake.

3
Look for the alligator, which is often by the rivet on a pair of authentic Crocs. This is a clear symbol of an authentic pair of Crocs. The alligator should have two eyes, two hands with three fingers each, a wavy smile, and six uneven bumps on his back. Any deviations from the design indicates a fake. If possible, go to the Crocs website to compare the alligator on the pair of Crocs in front of you with the authentic version.
-
4
Examine the color. Authentic Crocs all have vivid, bright colors. Fake Crocs may try to imitate such tones, but there will often be a faded quality to them.
-
5
Flip the shoe over. On the bottom of the shoe should be a number representing the size. There might also be a letter such as M or W or S or XS representing the width. You should also see the website address to the official store website: Crocs.com
