How to Snap to the Top With Dreamweaver

Adobe Dreamweaver allows users to create Web pages, even if the developer has little or no HTML expertise. Like Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver is used to design a page. However, unlike InDesign, those who use Dreamweaver are also creating an HTML document at the same time, as this is something Dreamweaver does automatically. When designing with Dreamweaver, you can get elements to snap into place to preserve your design.

Instructions

    • 1

Double-click "Adobe Dreamweaver" to open the program. Press "Ctrl" and "N" to open a new HTML document page.

    • 2

Click in the ruler that lines the top of the document screen and drag downward. A line will appear as you drag your cursor out of the ruler area. Release the mouse when you reach the location where you want to snap an element at the top of the page.

    • 3

Click the "View" menu and select "Guides." Click "Snap to Guides."

    • 4

Click the "Insert" menu and click "Image."

    • 5

Click on the section of the page where you want to insert the image.

    • 6

Click and drag the image upward to the guide line you created. The element will snap into place.
