How to Subliminally Influence People

Use subtle tactics to subliminally influence those around you.

Subliminal influencing is all about persuading people to make decisions based upon subtle messages, gestures or images that they might not be aware of. Whether you're interacting with co-workers, friends or complete strangers, it helps to have the skill of coaxing others to follow your lead. It might not come naturally to you. But with enough rehearsal, you'll quickly find that others submit to your influence with little resistance.

Instructions

1. Frame an idea or conversation with emotional words. To do this, think of words or phrases that might strike an emotional chord with your peers. For example, saying "I'm a loving father with great enthusiasm" will yield more influence than simply saying "I have children." This tactic doesn't require much planning or preparation.

2. Wear clothing that adheres to the way you want to be perceived by others. The way you dress will affect the influence you have on others. A woman in a business suit, for instance, can influence employees to follow her lead. Day after day, this covert subliminal technique will change the way people think about you and help you gain influence.

3. Lead by example without being forceful or threatening. Subliminally influencing people requires you to use less than obvious means of coercion. With confidence, show others your way of doing things but do not force them to follow. Over time, you'll find that you've influenced their thoughts and ideas just by being you. Avoid bullying and shouting if you want to have a subliminal, undetected influence over others.
