How to Split Framesets in Dreamweaver
A frameset is a group of frames set up on a website. Dreamweaver provides you with a tool to design and publish website pages. The designer lets you control framesets in a design window, so you do not need to manually type the HTML code. You split framesets when you want to section off each part of a Web page into separate compartments.

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "All Programs." Click "Adobe" in the list of program groups, and then click "Dreamweaver" to open the software.

Click the "File" menu item at the top of the window. Click "Open" to view a list of project files. Double-click the file that contains the frameset you want to split.

Click the frameset you want to split. In the main Dreamweaver menu, click "Modify," and then click "Frameset." A configuration window opens.

Drag and drop the frame borders to the location of the frames you want to split. Dreamweaver automatically splits the frame horizontally or vertically, depending on the border you create between the two frames.

Click the "Save" button. Open the file in a Web browser to review the changes to the frames.
