How Do I Get Five Stars on Gurangatch in 'FF13'?
The combat system in "Final Fantasy XIII" does not simply demand that you defeat an enemy; it demands that you defeat this enemy with style, speed and precision. Every battle you fight over the course of the game earns a star rating, with five stars being the best and zero stars being the worst. Higher star ratings result in better loot rewards. Some bosses, such as Cie'th Stone Mission 35's Gurangatch, are nearly impossible to kill with a five-star rating.
Instructions

-
1
Set your battle party to Sazh, Fang and Lightning.
-
2
Create two paradigm options for this party. You will need a Ravager/Commando/Commando with Sazh as your Ravager for the primary, and another setup with Commando/Commando/Commando for the secondary.
-
-
3
Apply a Deceptisol shroud as you approach Gurangatch. He is hard to catch off-guard, and Deceptisol is the only guaranteed way to earn a pre-emptive strike.
-
4
Attack Gurangatch to start the battle. With the pre-emptive strike earned by your Deceiptisol, he should be close to staggered at the beginning of the fight.
-
5
Attack with Sazh's "Cold Blood" ability to do as much initial damage as possible and push the chain gauge over the limit, staggering Gurangatch.
-
6
Switch paradigms to your Commando/Commando/Commando setup immediately after staggering the beast and continue to attack him. Once he has been staggered, he should be easy to kill.

Tips & Warnings
You have about 35 seconds to kill Gurangatch if you want to earn a five-star rating. If he is not staggered in your first round of attacks, you are not going to make it.
