How to Put the Videos From My iPod Into My Computer That Is Not a Mac
Though iPods are created by Apple, you don't need a Mac to get videos off of them. In fact, you don't even need iTunes. Microsoft Windows has a built-in utility for importing pictures and videos. This utility can scan a connected external device, locate all applicable media files, and import them into your videos or pictures library with minimal action required by you. You won't be able to get music off the iPod with this method, but for retrieving videos it works well.

1
Plug one end of the iPod USB cable into your computer and the other end into the iPod. Windows recognizes the iPod automatically and launches an AutoPlay window by default.
-
2
Click "Import pictures and videos" from the AutoPlay window. If AutoPlay fails to launch, click the Windows orb and then "Computer." Right-click your iPod and click "Import pictures and videos."
-
-
3
Type a tag for your videos in the space provided. All videos imported will receive this name with a number after it. If you would rather leave this blank, the videos will be given the same names as they have on your iPod. Click "Import."
-
4
Wait while Windows detects and imports all of the videos from your device. They're stored in a dated folder in your "Videos" directory. When the import is complete, a window opens that contains all of the copied video files.
