How to Put Downloaded Apps on an iPod from a Laptop
Apple's iPod is available in four models: the iPod Touch, the iPod Nano, the iPod Classic and the iPod Shuffle. As of June 2011, only the iPod Touch runs apps from Apple's App Store. The iPod Touch connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, so you can search for apps and download them directly to the device. If instead you used Apple's free iTunes application to download apps from the App Store to your laptop, you can use a USB cable to transfer them to the iPod Touch.
