How to Block Posts About Farms on Facebook

Facebook is a useful tool for staying connected to friends, family, and coworkers. People use Facebook for many different reasons, including work, socializing, school and games, such as FarmVille or Farm Town. These games can be entertaining for those who are playing them, but those who have opted out can find themselves irritated by the constant farm-related Facebook wall posts. Thankfully, you can block posts from farm games that you are not interested in.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account so that you're viewing your news feed. You should see status updates, links, photos and posts from games that you have played before.

2. Hover your mouse over the offending post from a game application about farms. You should then see a gray "X" button in the upper right corner of that post.

3. Click the "X" button. A menu will then display giving several options that will affect the wall post.

4. Click on "Hide all by (Application Name)." This will prevent further wall posts from this game from showing up in your news feed.

5. Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 for each farm-game application that shows up on your news feed.
