How to Design Custom LEGO Mini-Figures
Lego minifigures are the small poseable people included in Lego toy sets. Lego minifigures can be easily broken apart into their component body parts and then reassembled. You can mix and match various heads, legs, bodies and accessories to create custom characters. Online tools can help you in the design process, allowing you to digitally perfect an imaginary Lego minifigure before you have to find or purchase the necessary parts to physically assemble it.

Run the Mini-Mizer on the Reasonably Clever website in your web browser. The tool requires that you have Adobe Flash installed on your computer; most computers already have this.

Click the arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the Mini-Mizer screen to step through the minifigure creation wizard. Use the smaller arrows on each page to select individual headgear, skin color, facial features, body colors, clothing, and hand-held objects for your Lego minifigure. Choose a background image or color for your figure to complete the design process.

Click the large question mark on the last screen of the Mini-Mizer tool if you're out of ideas. This will randomly assign items and colors to the figure, giving you something to jog your imagination.

Press the "Print Screen," or "Prt Scr" key on your keyboard to take a screenshot of your minifigure. Open your favorite image editing program and press "Ctrl-V" to paste the image. Crop it to size and print the image for reference.

Tips & Warnings
Some of the minifigure components from which to choose are slightly risqué, and others are imaginary parts not actually manufactured and sold by the Lego corporation. See Resource for links to Mini-Mizer variants that are kid-friendly or feature only purchasable parts.
