Most lawsuits filed in Jefferson Parish since the mid-1980s are available online.

The Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court office has decidedly embraced the computer age. Since 2004, JeffNet -- the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court Remote Access Service -- has allowed paid subscribers 24/7 access to property, civil, criminal and other public records maintained by the Clerk's Office. This database includes all 1st Parish Court Civil Case Activity since 1983, all 2nd Parish Court Civil Case Activity since 1986 and all 24th Judicial District Court Civil Case Activity since Aug. 27, 1990. Investigation of lawsuits older than these dates will require a records search at the courthouse during hours it is open to the public.
