The Mac OS X operating system, which runs on all Apple desktop and laptop computers, includes an email application that's commonly referred to as Mac Mail. The Web programming language known as HTML can be used to display text, graphics and other visual elements. You can compose emails that use HTML in Mac Mail by loading the HTML code in Safari first.

      Write your desired HTML code in any word processor or Web editing application.

      Save your HTML code onto your Mac's desktop as a text file with the ".html" extension.

      Right-click on the HTML file, and navigate to the "Open With" sub-menu and click "Safari" from the list of programs. Your HTML message is displayed through the Safari Web browser.

      Open the "File" menu at the top of the Safari window and click the "Mail Contents of This Page" option to transfer the HTML code into Mac Mail. Alternatively, you can use the "Command + I" keyboard shortcut to perform the same operation.

      Fill in the "To," "Cc" and "Subject" fields with the desired text and then press the "Send" button to compose and send your HTML email.
