How to Inverse Firefox to Black Backgrounds

By default, the Mozilla Firefox browser displays a white background with black text. If a website is specifically coded to use a different color scheme, then Firefox's default settings step aside and let the website's settings take over. You can invert Firefox's default settings through its content settings. However, to maintain this black background with white text, you also need to disallow websites from changing the colors.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open Mozilla Firefox.

    • 2

Click "Tools" in the top menu and select "Options." If you do not see the Menu Bar, press the "Alt" key. Alternatively, click the top right "Firefox" button and select "Options."

    • 3

Click the "Content" tab in the "Options" window.

    • 4

Click "Colors" in the "Font & Colors" section.

    • 5

Click the black color box next to "Text" and select the white color.

    • 6

Click the white color box next to "Background" and select the black color. You can also change the visited and unvisited link colors to a lighter color for easier reading on the new black background.

    • 7

Click "OK" on both the "Colors" and "Options" window to invert Firefox colors.
