How to Beat Silver in "Sonic the Hedgehog"
Silver is a mysterious character in "Sonic the Hedgehog" who claims he has come from the future to save his closest friend. Silver's strength lies in his psychokinetic ability to throw objects at foes. Before Silver teams up with Sonic and his friend, Shadow, he believes the hedgehogs are his enemies. When Silver attacks, both Sonic and Shadow must defeat him in battle to show him the error of his ways.

Playing as Sonic

Run around the battlefield and collect three rings when the battle starts. Do not pick up any more rings unless you get hit and lose the ones you have.

Wait for Silver to taunt you. When he pauses and says "Take this," run up to him and do a slide attack, or a homing attack. Jump and press the "Attack" button to do the homing attack.

Run away from Silver when you land an attack. Do not get close to him as he walks around the field. Avoid the objects he throws at you and then attack him when he pauses to taunt you. Silver is defeated when his health bar empties.
Playing as Shadow

Jump up to the next platform as soon as the fight begins. Pick up the ring box. Jump back down to Silver's platform.

Rush up to Silver when he stops throwing objects and starts to taunt you. Execute a homing attack or tornado spin against him.

Run away when Silver picks up an object to throw. If an object is about to hit you, use Chaos Spears to destroy it. Do a homing attack right after Silver throws the object. Continue this process until Silver's health runs out.
