How to Draw a Halloween Chibi
When Halloween comes around, celebrate the holiday with a few of the Japanese Anime characters called "Chibis." Their large heads, eyes and small bodies create an exaggerated look to emphasize cuteness. Your own Halloween-themed Chibi starts with choosing the theme you want for the character. You can draw a witch, a zombie, a mummy, a pumpkin-head or even a hangman. There are lots of frightening choices for the artist. Begin with the basic character frame, using circles for the head and body and lines to place the features of the face.

1
Sketch a circle for the head.
-
2
Attach a larger oblong circle to the bottom of the head.
-
-
3
Attach a couple of small circles for the character's feet to the bottom of the oblong circle.
-
4
Attach two smaller, thin oblong circles to the sides of the larger oblong circle for the character's arms.
-
5
Add a pair of intersecting horizontal and vertical lines to the head. Make the lines intersect where you want the face to look.
-
6
Add two small circles just above the horizontal line for the eyes. Use the vertical line as reference to place your eyes evenly on the face.
-
7
Center a thin line on the vertical line between the eyes and the bottom of the circle for the mouth. Add two small, inverted triangles to the bottom of the line for sharp fangs.
-
8
Add the Chibi character's hair, if any. Use this hair to frame the face. On top of this you can draw a hat, like for a witch.
-
9
Add clothing to your Chibi. A wide ribbon across the middle of the torso with a small rectangle in the center for a buckle makes a cute Halloween belt. Similar rectangles on the feet give the impression of buckles for old fashioned boots. Thin ribbons wrapped all around the body give the impression of a wrapped mummy Chibi. A long flowing cape for a vampire Chibi can be drawn with two wavey lines stretching out behind the character and a horizontal line connecting them. Add a collar with a thin horizontal circle drawn around the bottom of the head. It should look a little like a halo. Connect it to the top of the body by a diagonal line on each end of the circle.

10
Erase any unwanted lines from your Halloween drawing.
