Sell craft products at home-schooling conventions or through an online website such as Etsy. Not only can the home-schooling parent make money doing this but so can the kids. Best of all, these crafts can be constructed during the daily arts and crafts period so as not to take away from the school day.

Offer your services to members of your community through flyers. You can start a business with your children doing yard work, shoveling snow or walking neighborhood pets. These services can be completed after school has finished for the day or during the scheduled gym period.

Become an affiliate for your favorite home-school supplier. As an affiliate, you are not required to stock any products or put up any money to get started. You are given an online link that you can use to tell others about the home-school supplier. Whenever anyone purchases products through your link, you earn a commission. Start by sharing the link with individuals in your homeschool co-op, and then ask them to forward the link to other parents who are currently home-schooling.

Create your own website or blog. This can start off as a school project and develop in to a full-time income. Choose a topic that both you and your children are interested in. Add ebooks and affiliate links to relevant products. Then use Google Adsense to create another stream of revenue. For example, if you and your children have a fascination with African art, you could create a website with information on African art. Then you could add links to ebooks that explain how to buy and sell African art, as well as links to African art pieces that are for sale. Google will automatically place African art related ads once you have it installed. You will then be able to earn in three different ways from one website.

If you don't want to make items to sell, you can scour thrift shops and yard sales for cheap items of value and sell them on an online auction for a profit. Make it like a treasure hunt and you will have no problem getting your children to help you.
