Restarting a computer to view the new boot screen can be very rewarding to users.

Customizing a computer is one of the many ways that users make the computer unique to them. The boot screen, or the screen you see when you start your computer, can be customized with an image and layout of your choice. After changing the boot screen, one of the first things that a user may want to do is see what it looks like when it boots.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of the screen.

    • 2

Move the mouse over the arrow pointing to the right in the very lower-right corner of the box that pops up when you click the "Start" menu.

    • 3

Click the "Restart" option that appears when the mouse is hovered over the arrow. Confirm the decision to restart the computer, and end any programs that do not automatically close. The computer will shut down fully, then automatically begin booting again. When your computer boots up, your new screen will be displayed.
