"Borderlands" allows players to form groups and play games together online. One of the features included in the online games is voice chat. Players are able to use their own microphones to chat with each other without requiring any extra software. Voice chat is automatically enabled in the game and requires very little effort to begin using.
Things You'll Need
- Computer-compatible microphone
Plug the microphone into the computer. If it is the first time using the microphone on the computer, install the microphone's drivers to allow it to interface with the computer.
Start up "Borderlands" on the computer. Start an online game or join one already in progress.
Speak into the microphone to broadcast voice to the other players. When other players speak, their voices will be transmitted through the computer's speakers, unless the microphone has a headset, in which case the voices are broadcast through the headset instead. There is no push-to-talk key for the voice chat in "Borderlands." The game automatically transmits when a voice is picked up.
