How to Write Letters to a Congressman About Veterans Disabilities
Congressmen have a duty to represent constituents in their home districts in Congress and maintain contact with them. Your congressmen can assist you with an issue involving a U.S. federal agency. This includes the Department of Veterans Affairs. The agency offers benefits to those with disabilities because of their military service. Many other benefits for veterans, service members and their families are also available. If you are having a problem filing a claim or another issue regarding your Veterans Disabilities you can write your congressman for assistance.
