Instructions

    • 1

Put on the dark pants. Cut them off just below the knee or roll them up to the knee. Sew them in place.

    • 2

Put on the white linen shirt. If you cannot find a shirt with ruffles, sew ruffles to the front of the shirt. Tuck the white shirt into the newly made trousers.

    • 3

Put on white tube socks. Pull them up to your knees so they go under the trousers to give an authentic look. Put the black buckle shoes on. If you cannot find a pair of buckle shoes, use black dress shoes and pin a belt buckle on the top of them to look authentic.

    • 4

Put on the dark vest and button it. Do not tuck it into the trousers. Place the dark coat on top of it. The coat should come down to the thighs. Button two to three middle coat buttons, leaving the top button and two or three buttons at the bottom undone.

    • 5

Put on a white wig and triangular hat to complete your look. Tilt the hat so it rests on the back of your head, revealing the white wig in the front.
