How to Improve Asda Wine
The difference between a cheap wine and an expensive wine may be highly subjective, as a survey for Hertfordshire University in England showed that most people cannot distinguish between the two. Asda is not renowned for selling high-quality wines; however, their flavor and aroma can be improved by using simple things like a decanter or the appropriate wine glasses. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Store the wine in a dark, dry room at 40° to 65°F. Store at a temperature of 60-65°F if you intend to drink it within a year or two. Keeping wine at this temperature can enhance its flavor. Keep wine stored at an angle so that the cork remains wet -- this reduces the chance of the cork drying out, which allows oxygen to pass through it, spoiling the wine.

2
Serve wine in glasses that have a deep bowl so that the aroma of the wine can be released. Serve sparkling wine in glasses with narrow, tall bowls (like champagne flutes) to preserve the bubbles.

3
Pour wine into a decanter. Decanting cheap wine can help facilitate aromas that develop with time spent in storage. It also removes the sediment from young wines.
-
4
Mix your wine with other spirits or ingredients to improve flavor or create new drinks. Combine cheap red wine with brandy, orange juice, sugar and fresh fruit to make the Spanish drink "sangria," and mix lemonade with blush wine to create a sparkling drink.
-
5
Pair wine with food to bring out the best of its flavor. The general rule is that red wine goes well with meat, while white wine is best served with fish dishes.
-
6
Use a stopper for wine once it's been opened, as air causes the wine to become acidic. Keep both white and red wines refrigerated to preserve them for longer, however it should be consumed within 3 days.
