Determine your Internet Service Provider company through the Web.

ISP stands for Internet Service Provider. Your ISP generally is the telephone or cable company that is providing you with Internet service. If you don't know who that is, you can determine the identity of your Internet Service Provider through free websites that detect your Internet Protocol address.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your computer system and open a web browser.

    • 2

Navigate to an ISP-check site, such as Spyber.com or Ipcheck.org. (See Resources.)

    • 3

The web page will automatically display the results that correspond to your computer. They include IP address, Hostname, Remote Port, Browser and ISP.

    • 4

Find out who your ISP is by looking at the name of the company displayed in the "ISP" or "Internet Service Provider" field.
