How to Save Helicopters in "GTA IV"
"Grand Theft Auto IV" provides parking spots outside of your various hideouts to let you save your vehicle when you need to stop playing. Helicopters are a bit harder to come by, but once you have a helicopter you can also save it by parking it in the exact same locations. It may sometimes be a tight fit, but as long as most of the helicopter is inside the yellow parking spot lines then it will be saved to that particular hideout.

Steal any helicopter. You can find a helicopter at the helipad tours at the south end of the second large island, or if you're far enough into the game you could call Brucie and ask him for a helicopter ride and then steal his helicopter. You could also use your cell phone to dial the cheat code "359-555-0100" to spawn an Annihilator helicopter to your location.

Fly the helicopter to one of your hideouts. Your first safe house it towards the southern end of the first island, and you'll get an introduction to each new hideout as it becomes available.

Land the helicopter in the yellow parking spot outside of your hideout and exit the helicopter. Go into your hideout and save the game. When you go back outside the helicopter will still be sitting in the parking spot, and all damage that it might have taken will be fixed.
