How to Get a Listing off of Craigslist

Remove your listing from Craigslist to avoid unnecessary inquiries.

If you post a Craigslist listing that generates numerous responses, you may want to remove it before it expires to avoid unnecessary phone calls and emails. For example, if you are trying to sell your car, you will likely receive inquiries long after the car is sold. Removing a Craigslist posting is a quick process that takes effect almost immediately.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Craigslist account.

2. Find the posting that you want to remove. You will see postings from the last 30 days displayed automatically; for older listings, change the date range in the header.

3. Click "Manage" next to the posting.

4. Click "Delete This Posting."

Tips & Warnings

• After you delete your posting from the Internet, it will still be displayed in your account history. It will be highlighted blue to indicate that you have deleted it.
