How to Install the Gmail Plugin for a Logitech Webcam
Gmail's voice and video chat plugin allows you to have video and audio conversations with your contacts right from Gmail in your Web browser window. Google officially supports and recommends Logitech Webcams, and the plugin supports a variety of Web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Once you install this plugin, you can have voice and video conversations with your contacts who also have the plugin installed.

Navigate your browser to the Google Voice and Video Chat Web page at Google.com/chat/video.

Click the "Install Voice and Video Chat" button on the Web page.

Click the "Run" button or download the installer file to your computer and double-click it. If you have the Google Update plugin on you system, the plugin starts installing immediately.

Click the "Restart Browsers Now" button after the plugin finishes installing. You can't use the plugin until you restart your browsers.

Make a video call by clicking a contact with a camera icon by the name in the Chat section on Gmail, then clicking the "Video & More" link at the bottom of the chat pane that appears.
