How to Use a Mic on World of Warcraft
"World of Warcraft" players can use a microphone to help coordinate strategies with their teammates. There is a built in voice chat system in "World of Warcraft" that you can take advantage of that will allow you to communicate with your group members by pressing a hot key to activate your mic. To use your mic on "World of Warcraft," first plug it into the computer and install any software that came with it, then load the game.

Plug in your microphone and install any software that may have come with it.

Load "World of Warcraft" and sign in to your account.

Log on to one of your characters. Hit the "Esc" key to open the main menu and click "Options."

Click on the "Voice" tab and check the box next to the option "Enable Voice Chat."

Select which microphone to use, if you have more than one plugged in, and check the box next to "Enable Microphone."

Select the voice chat method you wish to use -- either Push-to-Talk or Voice-activated -- from the drop-down menu. If you select Push-to-Talk, select which key you wish use to activate your mic.

Click "Okay" to save your new settings. Restart the game if required.
