How to Bead Corkscrew Fringe

Bead a corkscrew fringe with a two-needle technique, which uses needles on both ends of a single piece of beading thread and two different colored seed beads. Corkscrew fringe is a type of fringe that forms a cylindrical spiral pattern. The spiral pattern rotates as you create the fringe. The screw is formed by stringing on three beads and pulling the second thread through the last bead to make a curve in the beading string.

    • 4

    • 5

Pull the threads tight and continue to add two blue beads and one white bead and insert the right thread through the white bead to create the corkscrew fringe with the seed beads. Pull them taut to make a tightly wound cylindrical corkscrew, or let the beads fall where they may to create a free-form spiral corkscrew with your fringe. When the corkscrew fringe is the desired length, remove the needles, hold the two ends of the bead thread together and tie them in a simple overhand knot.
