You can easily increase the flame length of your lighter to get into hard-to-reach places.

Lighters are handy implements to use when lighting fires or summer barbecues. Lighter flame size is easy to adjust. You adjust to a longer flame size in order to prevent burning your hand when lighting fires in awkward places. You can easily adjust the flame on your butane or liquid gas lighter. Make the flame longer to meet your needs, but be sure to readjust it before you put the lighter away.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn your lighter over so that the flint and lighting mechanism face away from you.

    • 2

Turn the wheel on the back of the lighter in a counterclockwise direction to increase the size of the flame. Turn it in a clockwise direction to reduce the size of the flame.

    • 3

Turn your liquid gas lighter upside down. On the bottom is a dial that can be turned to increase or decrease flame length. Follow the arrows as instructed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Return the flame to a smaller size once your fire is lit. This will prevent a smoker from singing or burning himself when lighting a cigarette with a large flame.

  • Do not leave fires unattended, and keep lighters out of reach of children and pets.
