How to Make an Outline in CS5
Adobe Illustrator is a program in the Adobe creative suite. It can be used with other Adobe programs, such as InDesign and Photoshop. When you make outlines in Adobe Illustrator CS5, you are able to manipulate the text that you are outlining. For example, if you want to alter the way a letter appears, you can create an outline and then click and drag from different points on the outline, causing the letters to change shape.

Double-click the Illustrator file icon that includes the text you want to make into an outline.
