How to Interact With Fans on Facebook

How to Interact With Fans on Facebook thumbnail
Create a Facebook Page to directly interact with your fans and customers.

Facebook's social network offers Pages as a means for small businesses, artists, bands and other organizations and public figures to promote their products, work and content. Primarily, Facebook Pages enable their admins to directly connect with their fans on a platform where people are already active on a regular basis. As such, Pages are a great way to keep people updated and receive feedback through comments. You can browse Facebook as your Page's profile to interact with your fans.

Instructions

    • 1

Create a Facebook Page. Visit the Create a Page menu (www.facebook.com/pages/create.php), and select a category for your Page. Enter the relevant information and a name for the Page. Check the box to agree to the terms of service. Click "Get Started."

    • 2

Upload a logo or photos relevant to your Page. Enter your business hours (if you are running the Page for a local business). Enter basic information to explain what the Page is promoting and contact information for people who need to make inquiries about your Page. Fans will be more likely to check out your Page if it appears complete.

    • 3

Suggest the Page to Facebook friends who might be interested. Click "Suggest to Friends," and click the thumbnail picture for anyone you want to recommend. Click "Send Recommendations." Potential fans must choose on their own to "Like" the page, but these recommendations will appear when they log in, similar to a friend request.

    • 4

Post links to content relevant to your Page in the "Write Something" field. For instance, if you have a special event or a show in the near future, create an event and share it with your fans. You can also post photos and videos of past events.

    • 5

Respond to comments made on your Page. Click "Use Facebook as [Your Page]." Now any comments you make outside of your own Page will be attributed to your Page's title. This subtle move can help promote the Page by interacting with people on a more public forum. Click "Account" and "Switch Back to [Your Profile]" at any time to resume normal Facebook browsing.
