How to Convert Videos With Pinnacle to Upload to YouTube

How to Convert Videos With Pinnacle to Upload to YouTube thumbnail
YouTube allows you to upload videos of up to 2 GB in size.

The Pinnacle Studio program has no direct "Upload to YouTube" feature, but you can still prepare videos in Pinnacle for uploading by exporting them to a video format that can be uploaded to the YouTube. YouTube recommends the MPEG-4 format because it can retain a video's quality while also keeping file size to a minimum. It only takes a few minutes to start the export process.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Pinnacle Studio program. Click "File" and select "Open Project." Select the video project you want to convert to YouTube.

    • 2

Click and drag the video clips from the media bin into the video timeline. Pinnacle includes digital space for all the video clips you have imported into the program, but these clips are not part of your final video until you drag them from the bin into the timeline at the bottom of the program window. Make sure you place them in the exact order you want them to play.

    • 3

Click the "Make Movie" tab on the right side of the application.

    • 4

Click the "MPEG" button, then click the "Settings" button.

    • 5

Select "MPEG-4" from the drop-down bar next to "Presets" and click the "OK" button.

    • 6

Click the green button labeled "Create Web File."

    • 7

Type a name for your new video file. Choose a destination folder for the exported video.

    • 8

Click the "OK" button to initiate the export process.
