How to Delete Recently Deleted Messages
When you initially delete an email message, it doesn't go away for good. The message is forwarded to a holding folder often labeled as "Trash" or "Recently deleted mail." This folder allows you to retrieve a message that you have accidentally deleted. If there is no need to retrieve a recently deleted message, you can empty your Trash folder to permanently delete all of its content.
